What is CBD?

CBD Oil (Cannabidiol) is a naturally occurring compound of the cannabis plant, derived from industrial hemp, and thus containing less than .3% THC. As a result, it is not psychoactive. Unlike marijuana, derived from the cannabis sativa plant and which does contain THC, hemp-derived CBD is drug free, and federally legal in all states, as well as a growing number of countries.

CBD is known to have many beneficial properties. Beyond being known as a natural soother, that may enhance overall well-being, CBD has been touted as the new “super beauty ingredient”. It integrates naturally with the body’s endocannabinoid system which helps to regulate hair loss and control dry hair, scalp, and skin conditions. It contains all 21 known amino acids, the body’s protein building blocks. It’s also rich in vitamins including A, B1, B2, C, D, E, Magnesium, Potassium, as well as essential fatty acids such as Omega-3, 6, and 9. These powerful nutrients help form collagen, which nourishes and strengthens skin and scalp tissue, and improves hair and skin elasticity. Additionally, it has very high levels of antioxidants which help protect hair and skin from environmental and daily stresses.
